Chance of a Lifetime opportunity
Last year Stephen Collins, Thames North SYnod Yoyuth and Children’s Work Development Officer, was invited to take part in a Confernce for young people in Bangalore, South India. The event was organised by the Karnataka Central Diocese of the Church of South Indiaand it proved a moarvellpouds experience as you can see for yourself: LINK
This year they are planning for a smilar event in the autumn and we hope to take a group to particpate along with the Indian Youth. The event is not absolutely certain yet but whatever happens we are planning to take a group of young people to Bangalore and we need to start planning immediately. The programme for the conference The programme includes a vast range of competitions for dance, music, debating, art and creative writing. LINK Participants from Thames North need to be aged 18-25 years. We need to have names of those interested in particpating as soon as possible: so please register your interest or pass this information to a young person who may be interested. It would be good to have an idea of who will participate by the end of February, as there will be much to plan and prepare.
